About Abd G. Khatib, MD, FACC:


  Abd Khatib, MD, FACC, graduated from Aleppo
  University Medical School, Aleppo, Syria, in 1974.
  He served in the military service until 1977. Dr.
  Khatib completed three years of Internal Medicine
  training at Lutheran Medical Center,Cleveland, Ohio
  and a two-year Cardiology Fellowship at Mt.Carmel
  Mercy Hospital, Detroit, MI. Dr. Khatib is Board
  Certified and specializes in Cardiovascular Diseases
  and Internal Medicine.



Dr. Khatib is dedicated to improving patient well-being and alleviating suffering and
discomfort through appropriate medical treatment and management. He implants
permanent pacemakers and works with pacemaker management and heart
catherizations for heart diagnosis. Dr. Khatib introduced heart catherization to
the Eau Claire area, and is considered the “Father of Cardiology” in Eau Claire.





Dr. Khatib helped to set up the catheterization labs at both Luther
Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital, and has now gone on to create a
full-service, state-of –the-art heart care facility at the Eau
Claire Heart Institute.

Dr. Khatib is on the Preferred Provider list of nearly all the
Medical Network plans in Eau Claire and Western Wisconsin. Dr.
Khatib and the Eau Claire Heart Institute gladly accept all
Medicare assignments.
